Oh no, we need bigger blocks! Maybe it’s time to fork and create a new new new Bitcoin with proper block size?
After again delaying the bomb for what the third? time. I think it’s time we all realize exactly what Afri said;
>“The bomb is an annoyance that no longer serves a purpose,” Schoedon told CoinDesk
IMHO it pointless to force miners off the network when they only have a inkling of PoS and then the transition period would still include a Hybrid model PoS/PoW. There really is no more point of a difficulty bomb when delays, unforeseen circumstance, PoS not close to implement,
>“I personally don’t want to deal with [the difficulty bomb] anymore. Serenity is not happening this year and most likely not next year. So why bother?”
They’re fighting with there network of miners (like Me) and losing network security at this point, for no reason at all.
Few of my own ideas
Keep rewards at 2 ETH, introduce the Diff bomb when the Hybrid model is in place.
Keep rewards at 2 ETH, introduce the Diff bomb 6 months out from PoS is finalized and a GO.
Rewards at 2 ETH then when POS Is about to be introduced 6m- 1y prior reduce rewards to 1 ETH.
Rewards at 2 ETH then when POS Is about to be introduced 6m- 1y prior reduce rewards to 1 ETH reintroduce the difficulty bomb at 1y to 6m.
What do you guys think?
As a miner myself I think my first idea *Keep rewards at 2 ETH, introduce the Diff bomb when the Hybrid model is in place.* is the way to go.
